Oxbridge House is a wonderful, large townhouse surrounded by mature gardens, situated on the outskirts of Stockton. The property offers large rooms and is within easy walking distance of Stockton and Middlesbrough. Home to the wobbly Teesquay Millennium Bridge, Stockton provides numerous activities and facilities and draws on the further resources of Middlesbrough which is right next door.

Where historically Stockton used to provide a heavy industrial backup to Middlesbrough and Teeside, it now provides more towards service industries UK-wide.

Our Service

At Oxbridge House, all clients receive a personal care plan to suit their individual needs. We encourage people to make decisions and express their feelings and emotions. Clients are helped to maintain their independence through their care plan and we support their wishes to privacy and dignity. Above all, we respect our clients' rights to their beliefs and views.

By getting to know the individuals that we care for, we aim to understand the causes behind any behavioural issues. It is imperative to respond in a supportive and therapeutic way that minimises the need for physical intervention. The experienced employees are familiar with possible causes of these problems and are fully trained in diversionary and de-escalating techniques.

Oxbridge House Facilities

Our philosophy of helping clients to reach their full potential and maximise personal growth forms the basis to our structured activity programmes. Activities include education, regular visits to local cinemas, shops, public houses, restaurants, gardening, computers, pool, football, leisure centres and museums. Clients are also treated to bus and boat tours and encouraged to help run the home.

Working closely with Milewood staff, community nurses offer follow-up support for additional health needs and carry out medical reviews. Individuals have access to local health services including opticians, dentists and chiropodists.
